The number of treatments varies for each patient. Some patients only require a single treatment for optimal results, which others require multiple treatments. A series of 3-4 treatments spaced out about 4-6 weeks apart. If you have acne scars, it is recommened to receive 6-8 session 4-6 weeks apart.
Topical numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to the treatment. During the procedure a thin layer of topical gel is applied to the skin while using a collagen pen with tiny needles is used to penetrate the skin and cause microinjury, results in new collage production. The procedure is nearly pain free!

Microneedling is not suited for patients who have open wounds, cuts, abrasions, or active acne. Anyone who has used Accutance within the last three months, has had radiation treatment in the past year, any kind of skin infection or herpes simplex in the area, psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, pregnant or breast feeding, or history of keloid or poor wound healing.
